When we looked at the phone market in this country we were surprised at the variation in prices, the difficulty of getting any support for your line and the sheer size of the hidden charges you can expect to receive - particularly business customers. We found the cheaper suppliers compromising call quality and customer service. We found extra charges for paying by credit card or cheque. We found some LLU unbundled services left their customers with NO CHOICE at all in terms of ever wishing to change supplier (once you are unbundled it gets difficult and expensive to change supplier). We found trying to sort out the simplest of problems infuriating and over-complicated, often being transferred from department to department only for them to blame everyone else.
We decided we'd design our voice products how we'd expect them to be as customers using three simple rules: Low fair and simple pricing, effortless support and high quality. And OneVoice was born. Fresh-air in the telecoms market.
Low Call costs - a 30 second call is over 10 times cheaper with OneVoice
It's easy to have headline-grabbing line rental figures, or billions of apparent inclusive minutes. Read the small print (if you can find it) on these types of packages and you'll find you'll be hit hard with rounded up minutes, rounding up before VAT, connection charges per call (9p per call on BT's packages!) and extortionate mobile and international rates. Our pricing is per-second and with no extras. A 20 second call will cost less than half a penny. Our prices for the top international destinations are ultra-low - from just 1p per minute. Mobiles are all the same, from just 9.9p per minute.
?One Tenth the price? Sounds like marketing hype but isn’t. Lets take that 30 second daytime call. With BT, and other providers, they’ll charge you a standard per minute fee and then charge a connection charge per call - currently 9.3p with BT - regardless of the length of the call. So your 30 second call will cost 1.5p for the call and 9.3p for connection charge - a total of 10.8p. With OneVoice Nano you’ll be charged for 30 seconds, nothing more, just 0.89p including VAT - that’s well over 10 times cheaper in fact. And our Lite and Pro packages are even cheaper. Quality policy - no compromise
There's no point having calls that are hissy and break up. The last thing you want is worse quality calls than we've all come to expect: crystal clear voice clarity - even for international calls. Because our UK network is BT-based, the line remains pretty much the same, with us handling billing and support. International calls are routed via various providers to ensure lowest cost and highest quality.
